Search server (A) sees only this ciphertext and the encrypted scores — it never holds the secret key, so it can't read your query. Content server (B) never sees your query at all: it receives only a k-anonymized list of indices (your match hidden among decoys) and returns public records.

Scores are decrypted and ranked here, in your browser. The content server returns these records mixed with decoys. Smaller facet pools can reduce that protection; opening source links or loading image previews can reveal the records you view to their hosts.
